Reupholstered Antique

chair before webPerhaps you have acquired a piece of furniture from a loved one. Or, perhaps you found a piece of furniture curbside or purchased one from a second-hand store. Either way, the furniture piece has good bones but needs some updating.

A client was looking to turn this chair into a comfortable spot in her sunroom. The problem was that the sunroom had mostly modern all-weather patio furniture in it. You’ll see from the photo below that all it took was an updated fabric choice and using double-piping instead of nailheads to modernize it. Now this chair fits in perfectly.

Window Shopping

Window shopping fabric webI’m back from a trip to Europe to visit my former exchange students. What a fantastic trip it was!  I went to France, Belgium, and Germany. It was wonderful to meet their families and be treated like royalty–especially when surrounded by castles.

One of my favorite things to do is window shop. I marvel at the visual merchandising that is done to entice one into their store.   It is the same with Premiere Home Stagers.  We want to entice a prospective buyer to purchase your house by grouping just the right furniture and accessories so that your home stands out from the rest.

These store windows are found in the Montmartre section of Paris.  I could have spent a whole day browsing, but then would have missed out on our boat trip on the Seine. Oh well, perhaps next time.
