Business Name

boat web

When choosing a name for our home staging business, Libby and I thought for quite a while. It needed to be something that explained what we did. For example, one has no idea what XYZ Company does. We even thought about combining our last names (Goodsell and Newell, respectively), but decided against it in case one of us wanted to exit the company or if we sold the business.  We also wanted the name to be easy to remember.  We decided on Premiere Home Stagers because the word “premiere” is a debut and goes well with the word “stage.”  That’s what we do, we debut your home and present it (“on stage”)  so that prospective buyers will make emotional connection points. We use the FEEL HOME philosophy:  F = First impression; E = Elminate Clutter; E= Emotional Connections; L= Lighten;  H=Home buyers prospectives;  O= Odors (fresh smells);  M = Modernize;  E = Emphasize the Positives.

I wonder what the owners of this boat thought about when thinking up its name. Although it’s a fine boat, I think people would be looking at the occupants and wondering which one the name applied to.  A smile for the day–enjoy!

The “e” in Premiere

If you ever wondered what the difference is between the words Premier and Premiere, so did we.  When we looked up each word, they have completely different meanings.  When viewing the definitions of Premier and Premiere, we felt that the latter expressed what we try to accomplish–a first showing of your new space.

However, Libby and I (Gina) also think that the extra “e” symbolizes excellence in our work, gives your space a new energy, and an emotional connection to your home. You just know it feels better and you want to spend more time in that space, whether it’s a room redesign or a complete home makeover.

The new year is full of opportunities….why don’t you consider a new space in your home?  We’d love to help you make that happen.
