Daycare Room

Premiere Home Stagers went to a house that was formerly a home daycare center. The daycare moved out and now the owner wants to turn it back into a single-family home.  We gave the owner a report of the changes deemed necessarily before we come back and do a vacant staging.  Can you guess what some of the challenges are?

  Obviously new paint is in order as well as new flooring. Even though the multi-colored fan is cute for a child’s bedroom, it should be changed out for staging purposes.

 

 

 

Wonder what was placed on the floor and wall that makes those bare spots?  

Wallpaper dates a home and is very specific to a particular taste and style; whereas neutral paint appeals to all ages and styles.  Most of these repairs can be done within a few weeks.  If we’re given the opportunity, we’d love to show you how it turns out…..stay tuned!

 

Children’s Rooms

This bathroom is clearly for the children’s use. There are two other full-sized bathrooms in this house, one in the master bedroom and the other in the lower level. However, this bathroom is the closest to the living room, kitchen, and dining room as well as the closest to the children’s two bedrooms.  The question became, “should this bathroom get repainted” when staging this house to sell?

Good question!  We would prefer that this bathroom was appropriate for any age. It need not be dull and boring. It could still be a fun space  if it was painted a brighter color in a lighter tone (light orange, light purple. etc) . You could use complimentary color accessories  (shower curtain, towels, toothbrush/soap holder) that can be easily removed for your next home.  However, since we recommended that the homeowners paint 3 bedrooms, it wouldn’t be a deal breaker if this bathroom stayed the same.
